It does not block AirPlay by itself, but it makes the router see a new MAC each time, which quietly invalidates any address reservation, allow-list or parental-control rule you set up — surfacing as "it worked yesterday". Turn it off in that network's Wi-Fi details and reconnect.

If you plan to play one source for a long stretch, selecting that service inside the Sonos app is far more stable — AirPlay suits ad-hoc casting better.

Only one app fails to cast — that is that app's own output picker or licensing restriction; try another app and you will know. It casts but the delay is large — AirPlay buffers roughly two seconds, so lip-sync drifts noticeably with video. That is by design, not a fault; for video, use a low-latency path or handle it at the TV. The volume is suddenly tiny — check that speaker's volume inside the Sonos app first, because AirPlay volume and Sonos volume multiply.
