How do I get it?
Search for ZoneFoundry on the App Store — iOS 18 and later, free.
How do I use it?
Open it — as long as your iPhone and speakers are on the same Wi-Fi, they show up automatically. No sign-up. For news, announcements and NetEase / QQ Music, link your Sonos account once under Settings.
Which speakers work?
Every Sonos speaker on the S2 system.

Worth a glance before you write in
My room list is empty — no speakers at all
Check three things in order: (1) the iPhone and the speakers must be on the same Wi-Fi — not a guest network, not cellular; (2) Settings → ZoneFoundry → Local Network must be on, since that's the permission used to discover speakers; (3) some routers enable AP isolation (also called client isolation), which blocks devices from seeing each other — turn it off in the router's admin page.
Does it cost anything? Do I need an account?
The app itself is free. Core speaker control needs no account at all — same Wi-Fi is enough. A Sonos account is only needed for music search, the voice assistant and scenes; a ZoneFoundry account is only for remote control across networks and syncing between devices.
Why does the voice assistant ask for consent first?
Because the assistant sends that one spoken command to a third-party AI for intent parsing — that's a step where data leaves your phone, so we ask plainly up front instead of burying it in the terms. Decline and the assistant stays off; everything else, including all playback control, works exactly the same.
Can I have my data deleted?
Yes. Disconnect the service inside the app, or email [email protected] naming the account you want removed, and the credentials and records held server-side are deleted. What's stored and for how long is spelled out in the privacy policy.
